WBCA is a volunteer group that works hard on your behalf:
- Planning and organizing community events such as – shoreline clean up, opening beach BBQ, closing bonfire, winter carnival, chalk art extravaganza
- Work with neighbours and partners on affordable housing and food security issues
- Working with community partners such as – National Capital Commission, the Riverkeeper, Environmental Groups, the City of Ottawa and local merchants
- Representing the community to evaluate and comment on development plans, participate on the Committee of Adjustments when local variances are discussed
- Work with our local councillor on community issues and communicate regularly with appropriate levels of government on issues that impact our community
