Eid was celebrated by the community at Roy Duncan Park on April. 28th. The bakers at the Westboro Community Kitchen made #Eid cookies & volunteers cooked a feast for all. Everyone enjoyed Arabic music, dancing, face painting, henna, balloons & park games. #Ottawa #MyOttawa #Community #neighbours #neighbourhood #party #Canada Everyone is invited to an Eid Party at Roy Duncan Park & the Van Lang Field House this Friday from 4pm to 6pm. Come & enjoy hot dogs, Halal food, outdoor games, henna, face painting, prizes & more. The Westboro Community Kitchen making delicious food with a smile & bringing our community together. It’s Spring🌸& it’s time to clean up our neighbourhood. From April 27th to May 4th join your neighbours in cleaning our streets and green spaces.🌳 We have partnered with the City of Ottawa’s #CleanTheCapital campaign so tell us how many bags you filled at info@westborobeach.ca. Looks like Spring in Westboro Beach! 🌱🌸 Westboro Community Kitchen prepared a great meal April 3, 2023, serving baked chicken with herbs and potatoes, rice, fried zucchini, celery salad with feta and chickpeas, bean apple cranberry salad, carrot cake cupcakes and Easter cookies. There were 93 meals served with 19 eating in and the remainder take-outs. A big thank you to the Carlington Community Health Centre, the Westboro Region Food Bank and all the volunteers. The next kitchen will be on Monday April 17 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Anyone wanting more information or to help out can contact Hilary at 613-722-4000 extension 204.
