On Sunday, we celebrated the two-year anniversary of the start of the restoration of Atlantis Woods today! It was a great way to catch up with neighbours, meet new friends, learn about the restoration work, share lessons learned, and enjoy the results of the work to date!
The restoration of Atlantis Woods is a partnership between the Westboro Beach Community Association, the National Capital Commission, the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, Kichi Sibi Winter Trail and most importantly, the many volunteers who donated hundreds of hours of their time.
Atlantis Woods is an example of what a community can achieve and the power of community associations.
